My favorite spot

Long time no post, so here goes....We took a trip last week to Gulf Shores with some good friends. Unfortunately Jason was not able to go, but he insisted that us girls go and enjoy. We all crammed into the Bowman's mini van and took the 12 hour trip down to Alabama. We stayed at Stephen's mom's house the first night in Ashdown, AR and the second night we stayed in Slidell, LA at Christie's grandma's house. They didn't seem to mind at all that there were 3 extra bodies in tow and we were treated like family. We got to our condo on Sunday and it was beautiful. We stayed beachfront on the 17th floor, which at first made me nervous, but now I wouldn't have traded it for anything. We played at the pool and on the beach for 4 days. The kids had a blast, despite a whiney Lauren (that's just how she rolls). They all played good, Emily and Macie became good buds. Poor Cooper had a rough time of it with some stomache trouble, but he perked up before the trip was over. We tried catching fish and crabs that would wash up with the waves and found a bunch of seashells. My favorite part was the quiet evenings on the balcony, feeling the breeze and listening to the waves. At night everyone comes out with their flashlights and hunt for crab. It was so cool to see all the flashlights dotted up and down the coast. In the distance you could hear music from one of the restaurants, just loud enough to know the beach was alive with people.

One last thing, if you are going to go on a trip with friends and cram into one car, pick your friends wisely! We sure did :) Thank you Stephen, Christie, Macie, Cooper and Tucker for showing the Richardson's a good time!
